I create in clay because it at once demanding and forgiving and work in both stoneware and porcelain. Stoneware allows me to push the limits of the material and rewards me by bending to my will. Porcelain demands my respect and attention and rewards me with lovely wares. Both accept my passion for texture and color and allow for the creation of work that is meant to give joy when it is used. My pieces are my wish for all good things to those who use them.
My ceramic practice has been a part of my life for nearly 30 years and inspire of demanding professional career in healthcare and philanthropy I was always able to keep my creative side alive through clay. I have studied at Anderson Ranch, Snowmass, CO, Penland School of Crafts, Penland, NC, LaMeridiana, Certaldo, Italy, Cleveland Institute of Art and BAYarts in Cleveland, Ohio. I hold an associates degree in art with concentration in ceramics and drawing in addition to professional degrees in nursing.
My studio is located in the Screw Factory, Studio 261 in Lakewood, Ohio where I enjoy rich creative environment and collaborative relationships with many other artists.
